While most little girls were into cartoons at age 8, I was waking up at 6am everyday to do aerobics while watching “Morning Stretch”. I have been interested in health, fitness, and the body since I can remember. In my early teen years, I met my soon-to-be best friend- a leader in the natural health industry, and started to learn about herbs, adaptogens, and healing the body through nature. My first massage training came before the days of licensing in the office of a long time practitioner, Ruth Walker. She was quite along in years at that time, but beloved and renowned in the industry. I still have the original VHS video of her teaching and have referred to it in my practice. My formal education began several years later at Center For Massage and Natural Health in Asheville, NC. There I was first exposed to energy medicine and many different massage modalities.  Licensed in 2008, I have since continued my education by studying nutrition at AB Tech Community College, completing my health coach certification through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, and with classes in other massage modalities including deep tissue, oncology, myofascial release, and pain relief. I am also a certified equine and canine massage therapist. Inspired by my integrative physician and mentor, in 2016 I continued my education by completing the course of study to become a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner which opened up a whole new realm of resources for helping clients achieve health and wellness.  I took this one step further and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine in 2019. I received the Alternative Medicine "Graduate of Distinction" award,  and dedicated it to the memory of my mentor and best friend who passed in 2018 before I could finish this study. That’s the background. Now the important stuff…

I love all animals, the outdoors- especially the beach and anything water related, blogging, traveling, music, learning, and cooking. I enjoy volunteering for my local pet rescue and I support several animal rescue groups. I am a strong advocate for adopt don't shop, community TNR programs, and keeping dolphins wild and free! I most enjoy spending time with my dogs and those in what I call my “circle” which is simply my name for family, those related and those not.  I love healing-with words, energy, herbs, touch, whatever works, and I have a passion for those people and those things which facilitate that. I love helping and guiding you on your journey to total wellness. I give thanks and credit to God, who has given me strength above all measure.
